Who We Are

Marketing teams have Hubspot and Marketo. Customer Success teams have Gainsight. But there is no dedicated system of record for engineering workflows - No analytics or data around efficiency and process improvement, in order to drive successful outcomes; No ability to quantify operational issues, security issues, quality issues, reliability issues, and overall technical debt; No ability to easily automate processes such as bug triaging, incident response and security reviews as they scale. Without the data, engineering leaders are left to make decisions on gut and feel and they can rarely present reasons behind decisions (the data) to executives or peers within the business.

LevelOps is a post-Series A startup that is building a massive new category called Engineering Success. The company is backed by top tier venture investors and is founded by veteran engineering and product executives who have a track record building large successful businesses at Palo Alto Networks and Symantec. LevelOps's mission is to bring analytics and automation to the engineering discipline, and our customers are some of the world's largest enterprises.

The underbelly of the SDLC (the operational, security, and quality issues) slow down the feature development. LevelOps’ product helps teams identify and automate this chaotic underbelly so that teams can go back to building.

Responsibilities

The Vice President of Engineering will be the driving force behind the company’s technology strategy and delivery. In addition to that, this person will have a big hand in shaping the vision of the product - The Engineering Success Platform. This position reports directly to the CEO.

This leader should have the ability to attract, retain and grow high performing talent and foster an environment of innovation, ownership and overall excellence. The candidate should be a great problem solver, and have the ability to communicate at all levels, including customers. This position requires a thought leader, who has the ability to influence peers and change the way engineering teams run.
